Cutting-edge Technology

Technology IntroductionThe creative and innovative application of information technology (IT) is an integral part of our School's teaching, learning and research philosophy. Extensive use of cutting-edge technologies enables enhanced instructional quality and an enriching learning environment.

Web-based online course information is available for every course offered. In addition, Online Courses deliver essential course content with discussion forum to foster interactive exchanges between students and faculty beyond the classroom. Highly interactive exchanges are conducted in fully-wired seminar rooms with network access for every seat. Multimedia-enhanced learning materials are produced at our Interactive Media Laboratory. Our Student Computer Laboratory is well equipped with the latest hardware and software for access by all students, preparing them to be effective in the global information economy.

Our proposed video-conferencing facilities and self-access IT learning environment at the School's state-of-the-art Town Centre in Admiralty Centre will strengthen our connections with the local business community. Network links with the main campus and other institutions abroad, such as our planned co-teaching arrangements with overseas faculty, will give expose students to the best teachers and scholars in the world.

In line with our commitment to network and community building, the School offers lifetime e-mail service to our MBA students, thereby providing a permanent communication link between the School and its alumni.

Our goal is to create a sophisticated technology-mediated learning environment that will further the School's teaching and research mission. Effective deployment of IT has gone a long way towards reducing administrative burdens and increasing research capabilities, leaving our scholars with more time for meaningful academic interactions and endeavours.
